Country Revival showcases different styles of country music, from traditional Australian bush ballads through to outlaw country, Americana, classic country and contemporary songwriting. Built for festivals, theatres, clubs and regional communities, the show celebrates the variety, musicianship and storytelling that have always sat at the heart of country music.

Shaza Leigh

Shaza Leigh is one of Australia’s most prolific singer-songwriters, with more than 350 songs published by Australian and international recording artists. Across a career spanning over 30 years, she has received numerous Golden Guitar nominations and songwriting awards, including 2026 Global Songwriter of the Year & National Composer of the Year.

Her writing moves effortlessly across bush ballads, classic country, inspirational, contemporary, gospel, country rock and easy-listening songs. Known as a powerful lyricist and commercially mindful composer, Shaza is widely respected across the industry and is quite simply gifted.

Aboriginal singer-songwriter

Pat Brown Jr

Pat Brown Jr is an Aboriginal singer-songwriter, guitarist, bass player and modern bush balladeer from the North Coast of New South Wales. Drawing from the storytelling traditions of Australian country music, Pat brings warmth, authenticity and a genuine connection with regional audiences.

Discovered at 12 years old by legendary bush balladeer Brian Young, Pat has performed across eastern Australia and continues to carry country music’s storytelling spirit into a new generation of live shows.

Birdie Nichols

Birdie Nichols is a singer-songwriter and viola player from the United States, delivering a gritty, soulful blend of outlaw country and Americana driven by storytelling, powerhouse vocals and road-tested musicianship.

Having flown in from America to tour Australia, Birdie gives audiences a rare opportunity to experience an international artist bringing a modern edge to classic country traditions.

Peggy Gilchrist

Known as Australia’s Queen of Country Piano, Peggy Gilchrist brings a lifetime of experience and musical excellence to the Country Revival stage.

Her distinctive piano style and deep roots in traditional country music add richness and authenticity to the show, supporting both classic bush ballads and contemporary country performances.

Trevor Tolton

Trevor Tolton is a singer-songwriter and accomplished lead guitarist, bringing strong musicianship and authenticity to the Country Revival stage.

With a natural feel for both traditional and contemporary country styles, Trevor’s performances add depth and balance to the show, supporting the full range of sounds from classic bush ballads to modern country influences.

Lachlan Butler has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young drummers in Australian country music. Known for his high-energy performances and natural stage presence, Lachlan brings drive, precision and enthusiasm to every show.

Anthony Baxter

Anthony Baxter is a highly regarded young guitarist known for his skill in traditional Australian bush ballad picking, inspired by his idol Lindsay Butler OAM.

His distinctive style and musicality have made him a sought-after performer on the Australian country festival circuit. With a deep respect for tradition and a clear path of his own, Anthony continues to establish himself as one of the next leading guitarists in the genre.
