Artist • Multi-Instrumentalist • Storyteller

Bio

Pat Brown Jr is an Australian country artist, multi-instrumentalist, and storyteller from the North Coast of New South Wales, whose music is grounded in a deep respect for Australian songs, stories, and cultural heritage.

Raised in Woolgoolga, Pat developed a strong connection to music at an early age, shaped by the people and places around him. At just 12 years old, he was discovered by legendary performer Brian Young, whose encouragement helped set the foundation for Pat’s path as a musician and performer.

Over the years, Pat has built a reputation for authentic, engaging performances across eastern Australia, earning recognition through numerous competitions, including taking out top honours at The Man From Snowy River Festival. His debut album Get Along (2019) paid tribute to the songs and traditions that shaped his early musical identity, while also signalling his commitment to keeping those stories alive for new audiences.

At the heart of Pat’s music is a passion for storytelling—capturing real-life experiences, reflecting on the past, and exploring identity through a contemporary lens. His work often blends traditional Australian influences with a modern melodic approach, creating a sound that feels both familiar and fresh.

A skilled multi-instrumentalist, Pat is known for his stripped-back, honest production style, often performing and recording much of his material himself. Whether on stage or in the studio, his focus remains the same: to connect with people through songs that feel genuine, relatable, and rooted in something deeper than just music.

With a new body of original work underway, Pat Brown Jr continues to evolve as an artist—honouring the legacy of Australian storytelling while carving out his own place within it.
